Tough problems?  We can figure them out – we are Intelligentum for a reason!  With over 100 years of experience between us, the founders and advisers of Intelligentum pride themselves on being able to provide intelligent solutions to the most difficult problems. We don't approach any situation as standard, we don't have cookie-cutter solutions – and we don't try to resolve problems by brute force. We are firm believers in optimization, automation and putting a little more thinking upfront so we can save much more in the end.  We use our expertise in finance, information technologies, physics and mathematics (and all of the accompanying degrees, from PhDs in Physics to Masters in Computer Science to MBAs) to recognize patterns, develop algorithms and automate processes.  We also have the technical expertise to implement our recommended solutions.  We are intelligent people providing intelligent solutions!

Our Team

Mr. Alex Vinokurov, Managing Partner – Technology 

Mr. Vinokurov has over 20 years of experience in software development, project management and team leadership.  He is a subject matter expert on C++ and object oriented programming and has applied his skills in areas ranging from biotech to banking to web design.   He is renowned for his ability to develop extremely complex algorithms and to have them perfectly executed.  Alex is a firm believer in automating redundant processes upfront and always looks at the big picture.  Alex holds a Master of Sciences degree in Computer Sciences from the Moscow State Technical University ("Baumanka").   When not developing software architectural solutions or tinkering with websites, Alex enjoys diving and teaches his two daughters a little bit of everything he knows.  Alex is also an avid photographer and equestrian.


Mr. Konstantine Sofer, Managing Partner – Finance and Analytics

Mr. Sofer's has over 15 years of senior-level finance experience across many industries – from multi-billion non-profits to early-stage public biotech to small privatelhy owned structured finance companies. His main expertise is in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), process optimization and financial/BI systems.  He has also worked extensively with financial models and, after taking the Wall Street Prep course, works in Excel with his eyes (mostly) closed.  He is known for approaching every problem in a holistic way and for introducing practical and pragmatic solutions to tough business problems. Konstantine holds an MBA with Concentrations in Finance and Strategy from Yale University School of Management (SOM) and B.S. in International Business from Old Dominion University.  When not planning, analyzing or modeling, Konstantine is busy doing travel photography, playing chess, reading and coaching his son who aspires to be on the U.S. table tennis Olympic team.


Ms. Louisa Bokacheva, Ph.D., Scientific Advisor

Ms. Bokacheva received a PhD in physics from New York University and completed postdoctoral training in experimental solid state physics at University of California San Diego.  She worked as a researcher at NYU Langone Medical Center studying magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the kidneys and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center working on clinical and preclinical MRI studies of breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer. Louisa's expertise includes biophysics, functional body MRI, MRI physics, diffusion and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, tracer kinetic modeling, image analysis, study design, and statistics.   She is also a prolific writer and a world-class tanguera.


Mr. Michael Facini, Business Advisor

Mr. Facini have over 10 years years’ of financial services and consulting experience focused on transactional and corporate finance.  Michael has worked on valuations throughout many different industries with global clients across the U.S. and Europe.  Notable transactions have been on the sell-side of a Health Care IT business to General Electric and the spin-off of a major Pharma company. Michael has experience in Private Equity fundraising and portfolio management, strategic investment valuation, and developing global business strategy.  Michael is an expert in Excel, Minitab and Oracle's Crystal Ball and leverages them extensively in quantitative financial modeling, forecasting, client management and strategic business transactions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis.  In his spare time, Michael enjoys tennis and golf.


Mr. Brian Faulk, Business Advisor

Mr. Faulk received his B.S. in finance from the University of Virginia. He worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, helping to lead several client engagements related to business process improvement, risk assessment and organizational design, and at Fannie Mae, serving as lead analyst for a portfolio of strategic projects. Brian’s expertise includes project management, financial and data analysis. Brian is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ms. Tatyana Zaslavskaya, M.S., Marketing Advisor

Creative internet advertiser with M.S. in Sociology and over 15 years of multi-national experience in developing unique web strategies and overseeing their full lifecycle. Tatyana has designed successful the advertising, as well as full-blown e-commerce sites and launched on-line presence of such household Russian brands as Kvazar and many others. She understands what it takes to integrate off-line and on-line presence and how to use company's web presence as a unique advertising channel. In her spare time, Tatyana professionally teaches tango and participates in tango competitions all over the world.
